Educational Qualification: A master's degree in Hindi or English (with the other as a compulsory/elective subject) is required. Additionally, candidates must have a recognized diploma/certificate in translation or two years of translation experience in a government office.

✔ Level 6: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400
✔ Level 7: ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400

✔ Application Fee: ₹100 for General/OBC/EWS candidates. Women, SC, ST, PwBD, and ESM candidates are exempted from the fee.

- Paper I (CBT): Objective multiple-choice questions on General Hindi and General English (200 marks total).
- Paper II (Descriptive): Translation and Essay writing (200 marks).

The exam consists of two papers designed to test linguistic proficiency and translation skills.

This paper includes 200 multiple-choice questions (100 Hindi, 100 English) at the degree level.
✔ General Hindi: Antonyms, synonyms, phrases/idioms (muhavare), proverbs, comprehension, and general knowledge of Hindi literature/grammar.
✔ General English: Grammar, Sentence Structure, Vocabulary, Tenses, Articles, Spelling Test, Synonyms/Antonyms, and Unseen Passages.
✔ Marking: 1 mark for each correct answer; 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
Paper II: Descriptive (Pen & Paper)
This paper evaluates practical translation and writing.
✔ Translation: Two passages for translation—one from Hindi to English and one from English to Hindi.
✔ Essay Writing: Candidates must write two essays, one in Hindi and one in English.
✔ Focus: Ability to write and comprehend both languages correctly, precisely, and effectively.
