  • Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
  • Papers: Paper 1A: For Classes I–V
  • Paper 1B: For Classes I–V (Special Schools)
  • Paper 2A: For Classes VI–VIII
  • Paper 2B: For Classes VI–VIII (Special Schools)
  • Fee: ₹1000 per paper

🎓 Eligibility

  • Candidates with D.El.Ed / B.Ed or equivalent qualifications are eligible.
  • Final semester students of these courses may also apply.
  • Candidates can appear for all papers if they have both D.El.Ed and B.Ed.
  • Teachers already in service before the RTE Act and nearing retirement must also qualify TET (as per Supreme Court orders).

📚 Structure & Syllabus

  • Each paper carries 150 marks.
  • The syllabus and detailed structure for all papers are available in the official Information Bulletin on the website.

🪪 Certificate Validity

  • APTET Certificate is valid for lifetime (as per NCTE guidelines).
  • Candidates can reappear to improve their score.
  • 20% weightage of APTET marks will be considered in the Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) selection process.
